PLAMECA BEGAN ITS OPERATIONS IN SEPTEMBER 1994 WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF CREATING A COMPANY WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF MEDICINAL PLANTS AND FOOD SUPPLEMENTS.
Its founders gained expertise in the cultivation and harvest of medicinal plants, a process carried out by experienced mountain harvesters who were properly trained to select only the plants that were under the best conditions for medical use. In the second stage, non-native plant species were incorporated into the catalogue, making the company successful in having the widest product range on the market, which we expanded later on to include dietary supplements, single and combined vegetal extracts, gels, syrups, oligotherapy, lithotherapy, etc.
In June 2001, the company, SUANFARMA, S.A., joined us to become a major partner of PLAMECA. SUAN FARMA markets and distributes intermediate products and raw materials for various industrial sectors in more than 60 countries as well as developing generic drugs. In addition to the offices in Madrid and Barcelona, SUAN FARMA has international presence with its own offices in New Jersey (USA), Caracas (Venezuela) and Mexico City (Mexico) and subsidiaries in Utah and California (USA), Bogota (Colombia), Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Hong Kong (China).
This partnership has allowed us to embark upon an ambitious international expansion plan that began in 2009. During this new phase, the goal is to prepare PLAMENCA to set the bar even higher for quality assurance levels and service in order to be more competitive in a market that is increasingly demanding. From this point, the R&D Department began to develop new products based on innovation, efficacy and scientifically supported. The first fruits resulted in the product range Plan 21, Curarti, Serenity, Boncol, Activity, etc.
In 2012, after 25 years of business, we inaugurated a new Head Office, which has manufacturing and commercialization facilities, equipped with clean rooms and primary and secondary storage areas, which combined with the rigor of our work guarantees optimal quality in our product and services.
