History of the tea tree
For thousands of years, Australian aboriginal people have used tea tree leaves for cutaneous purposes.
In the 18th century, Captain Cook, alongside a group of British colonists, discovered the benefits of tea trees during an expedition through Australia. They brought this oil back to Europe for further research and use in medicine.

Plameca uses oil of 100% Australian origin, which it guarantees through a chiral analysis of the terpenic components to differentiate the botanical and geographic origin of the oil and also quantify its purity. Plameca’s tea tree oil is guaranteed to contain 40% terpinen-4-ol and 80% total terpenes for significantly higher levels than the minimum amounts required by international standards (30% minimum).
