The weekend is approaching and although we all know that we are very careful to behave well with our diet during the week, when Friday arrives we become more flexible.
To give you a healthy excuse to start the weekend off right, we suggest this vegan hamburger recipe inspired by the blog Begin, Vegan, Begun. Take note, it is very good.
You will need:
- 100g cooked white beans
- 30g oatmeal
- ½ onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 cup vegetable milk
- Bread crumbs
- Glass bun (for hamburgers)
- Green shoots
- 1 pink tomato
- Garlic powder
- 1 avocado
- Mustard sauce
- Extra virgin olive oil
Cut into small pieces a clove of garlic and half an onion in julienne and poach well in a pan over low heat with a little salt.
Wash the beans beforehand, cut them into small pieces and crush them with a mortar and pestle. Season with salt and pepper, add the onion and garlic and mix well. When everything is well blended, add the oatmeal and let it rest for 45 minutes in the refrigerator.
Once the refrigerator time has elapsed, we can take out our hamburgers and shape them with a round cutter (the cookie cutter is suitable).
For the batter, mix in a bowl: milk, a tablespoon of flour and mix well until it has the consistency of a beaten egg.
In a separate bowl, pour the bread crumbs with a little parsley and pepper.
Dredge the hamburgers (first in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs until they are coated in batter like a croquette) and they are ready to fry! When you remove the burgers from the heat, put them on a plate with a napkin to absorb all the excess oil.
We recommend that you use glass bread and toast it before serving the hamburger inside, you will see that it is delicious and warm. Cut the avocado into slices with the help of a spoon to remove the contents inside the shell, and add it to the bread. Put the green sprouts, a slice of pink tomato on the base and then add the hamburger. Serve with mustard sauce.
Let's eat and enjoy!
